My Own little World

My daily mantra: I am finding the stillness within me.

Welcome to My Own little World via ms-wood'sworld. This blog is made up of things/images/songs that I love and/or like. You will also find personal pieces, poetry, and short stories written by me. They can be easily accessed by using the drop down menu below. There are blog posts that I have also written my thoughts on, but I haven't tagged them...they're random posts at best.
I don't follow everyone back, so if you're expecting that, you might be disappointed. Here are a few reasons why I may not follow you, 1) You post porn, 2) Your blog closely resembles other blogs I follow, 3) Your blog doesn't offer enough variety to enhance my own blog.
I don't claim ownership of all of the images I blog. If I've uploaded something and didn't give it proper credit, please let me know so that I can either rectify or remove said image.

I also have an erotic blog which you can find ~HERE~

I hate to keep posting things about what is acceptable behavior and what isn’t. I mean, I shouldn’t have to, right? I’ve approached this in a couple of ways, and so I’ll try another approach today.

Men of tumblr (no, this message isn’t for all men of tumblr, but the ones it doesn’t include will still appreciate where I’m going with this), it is never okay to send messages of a sexual nature to women, unless they’ve asked you to. Then and only then is it acceptable.

Far too many of you use the anonymity of the Internet to behave in a way you wouldn’t, if you had a woman standing in front of you. If it’s unacceptable then, it’s unacceptable at anytime. Period!

Ask yourself this, would you want someone talking to your mother, daughter, sister, female cousin, or a female friend that way? I bet the answer is a resounding NO! So if it’s not okay to talk to them in that manner, it’s not okay to talk to a stranger in that manner.

I am mother, daughter, sister, female cousin, and female friend, and I don’t care for it at all. In fact, if someone speaks to one of my friends in that way, I’ve been known to get irate and speak up (*smirks, most of you aren’t surprised to hear that, I’ll bet).

Next time you think about sending a woman a message, think about how you’d feel if someone sent a female in your life that same message, and if you wouldn’t like it, then DON’T send it!!

I don’t need anyone to fight my battles for me. I’m quite capable of doing that on my own (as most of you know). I don’t usually use profanity to get my point across. *shrugs…I don’t have to. But this, you can take this to the bank…I’ve called the men who have sent me unsolicited, sexually charged messages every name I can think of in my head, and they’ve deserved every one of them.

*a side note to all of this…just because I post something that I think is funny, or catches my eye, isn’t me sending subliminal messages to anyone. If you’ve gotten yourself worked up over something you’ve seen or read (even the stuff I’ve written), GIVE YOURSELF A HAND, because I sure as hell don’t want to!!
